We are looking for a field technician to join us on the AP60 project!

Job summary

The field technician – quality control ensures the compliance and quality of electrical work performed on jobsites. They ensure that installations respect plans, specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements, while collaborating with field teams to correct non-conformities before commissioning.

Main responsibilities and activities:

Documentation and reports

• Produce inspection and test plans;
• Produce detailed inspection sheets and quality control reports;
• Update As-Built drawings (final construction plans);
• Write technical recommendations when corrections are required;
• Provide quality sheets by delivery lot to the client's commissioning teams.

Inspections

• Supervise electrical installation inspections in compliance with plans, specifications, standards, and applicable codes (Canadian Electrical Code, CSA, etc.), according to the frequency established in the project's inspection and test plan;
• Have continuity, equipment insulation, and wiring tests performed;
• Inspect connections (wiring, terminal blocks, connectors);
• Detect and document any non-conformities or anomalies found.

Coordination with teams

• Collaborate with electricians, foremen, and project managers to resolve quality discrepancies;
• Follow up on corrective actions until compliance is achieved;
• Participate in jobsite meetings and provide feedback on quality progress.
